Position Title: Internship – Research Assistant & Office Support

Working Hours: 10:30 AM – 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday (with a lunch break from 12:00 PM – 1:00 PM)

Position Summary:
As an intern at JACSES, you will support various functions within the organization, primarily focusing on research and general office work.
Key Responsibilities:
- Research Assistance:
- Research on climate change, sustainable development, and related topics.
- Assist in monitoring international negotiations and conferences (e.g., COP, SB, SCF).
- Compile and analyze data to support reports, policy briefs, and other publications.
- Submit/present research findings in Google Docs or Microsoft Word format.
- Office Support:
- Provide administrative support to the marketing, research, and management teams.
- Assist in preparing and coordinating seminars, events, workshops, and fundraising.
- Support the submission of documents and reports to stakeholders and partners.
- Flexible Tasks:
- Participate in various projects and tasks as needed, adapting to the dynamic environment of the NGO.
Research Assistant Work Instances:
- Research on
- private sector engagement to address climate change.
- Climate financing in private sectors and governmental policies encourage private corporations to promote more climate financing.
- The extent of financing for agriculture and climate change adaptation topics.
- The trend of climate financing and gender mainstreaming.
- How to find the resourcesm:
- academic papers, official documents by UN organizations, international organizations(e.g., World Bank, ADB, IMF), news articles, etc.
Working Style:

Requirements:
- Vital research and analytical skills and ability to summarize complex information into structured, concise documents.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Flexibility and willingness to take on diverse tasks.
- Passion for climate change and sustainable development issues.
- Awareness and understanding of JACSES’s mission and goals.
